If you live, study or work in Italy it's very helpful to certify your Italian language level.

At least in my case, I'm required to have an Italian certificate at the professional level, so I finally took the PLIDA, Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Aliguieri, Italian Certification Exam last week.


The exam is given only twice a year, around the world, in May and November, graded in Rome.
If anyone would like to prepare for this exam, it helps to be familiar with the format.

So I'm enclosing the links to the previous 12 PLIDA exams for practice, from 2004 to 2009, which were taken off the official site, but were re-uploaded at an Argentinian Spanish site.

2. Join with HJSplit
3. Add .rar ending
4. Unzip and practice! 

It includes all levels below, in addition to all Commerical and Juniors PLIDA exams as well.

If you're not familiar with the 6 European Language Levels, visit this Self Assessment Grid.

Each exam includes the audio for the hearing comprehension portion, the written exam, and the answer key.

In the end, either you know enough Italian or you don't, but this will definitely give you a good indication of where you stand, which exam to take, and how you would do, so I highly recommend it.
